Food tourism has always been the norm with Malaysian travellers, where the taste of a place helps shape the entire experience of a destination. With an increasing emphasis placed on sustainable food and conscious consumption, we wanted to highlight a few biodynamic wineries in New South Wales that would be perfect places to visit for 2020. What is biodynamic wine? Biodynamic wine is made with a set of farming practices that views the farm as a single ecosystem, with each portion of the farm or vineyard contributing to the next to create a self-sustaining system. Natural materials, soils, and composts are used to sustain the vineyard. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are forbidden for the sake of soil fertility. Biodynamic farming also seeks sustainability, or leaving the land in as good or better shape as they found it for future generations. Krinklewood Vineyard, Hunter Valley, New South Wales Krinklewood Vineyard offers guests a unique experience with award winning biodynamic wines, Provençal style gardens and an abundance of beautiful birdlife. The property is located in the picturesque Broke Fordwich valley, a sub region of the lower Hunter Valley in NSW. Must tries include Hunter Valley classics such as Semillon, Verdelho, Chardonnay and Shiraz, plus a dry French-style Rosé, Basket Press Wines, a dessert wine, Sparkling Blanc de Blanc, Sparkling Shiraz and the always popular Wild range.  Accommodation can be found near the winery at the Hunter Valley Resort for MYR 246 a night (2 pax) Macquariedale Wines, Hunter Valley, New South Wales The first vineyard in the Hunter Valley to receive full Biodynamic Certification, Macquariedale Organic Wines follows a passion for natural winemaking, specialising in converting small parcels of grapes into the most delicious natural wines available in Australia. The wines are organic, biodynamic, low preservative, vegan-friendly, and natural. Accommodation can be found near the winery at Chateau Elan At The Vintage Hunter Valley for MYR 477 a night (2 pax) Tamburlaine Wines, Hunter Valley, New South Wales Tamburlaine was established in 1966. In 1985 the Hunter winery was purchased by a small group of friends and relatives led by Managing Director and Chief Winemaker, Mark Davidson. Mark has built his long-term winemaking philosophy around Contemporary Organic practices in the vineyard and the winery. After challenging years of research and development, Tamburlaine Wines have become one of Australia’s largest producers of organic wines with vineyards in the Hunter Valley and Orange region. Accommodation can be found near the winery at Pokolbin Village Accommodation for MYR 337 a night (2 pax) Wallington Wines, Orange, New South Wales Wallington Wines is a family owned and operated Organic and Biodynamic farm producing certified grapes and olives just outside the picturesque town of Canowondra in the Central Ranges Region of New South Wales. Japan’s shinkansen are famously fast, with maximum speed reaching 320 kilometres an hour and living up to their name of bullet trains. These trains are an integral part of Japan’s infrastructure, providing a safe and efficient way to get from one region to another. In fact, shinkansen are so safe that there have not been any accidents resulting in passenger injuries or fatalities in their 50-plus years of operation. But what if they could be even faster?  The initiative is called the Linear Project and JR is currently engineering a route from Tokyo to Nagoya and eventually, Osaka. The Linear bullet train would travel at a maximum speed of 500km/h (311 mph), meaning that the train would get from Tokyo to Nagoya in 40 minutes, or from Tokyo to Osaka in 67 minutes (the current shinkansen takes about two and a half hours). The train initially runs on wheels before gathering speed and retracting its wheels. The train is able to continue to run as it levitates roughly four inches above its guideway. It’s only able to reach the maximum speed once the wheels are retracted as friction between the wheels and the track can cause the train to slip. The same technology using magnetic levitation is already in commercial use for the Shanghai maglev train which runs at 431km/h (268 mph).   Photo by Fikri Rasyid on Unsplash As wicked as it would be to travel between cities in less than half the time it takes now, this colossal undertaking is still years from being complete. First, JR must build infrastructure connecting Tokyo to Nagoya, which will reportedly cost ¥5.5 trillion ($50.5 million) as 86 percent of the route will be underground to evade areas known to have stronger earthquake tremors. The route from Tokyo to Nagoya is projected to be complete in 2027, with the remaining route to Osaka finishing in 2037.
In the meantime, take advantage of these travel tours offered by Sedunia Travel.

Christmas is in the air and it’s time for presents, holidays and travels! But wait! What does one get for someone who is constantly on the go? Travelers and globe-trotters are perhaps some of the hardest people to buy presents for. Against their “otherworldly” experiences in a foreign country, something they always seem to describe as “priceless”, a material gift often pales in comparison.  Often but not always. Because the trick is to buy them something useful and essential to their travels. In most cases, we find that the best travel gifts are: Small Durable Lightweight Multifunctional Worthy of valuable “luggage real estate” A gift that can fit in seamlessly into their travelling is one your travel-addict friend will always bring around with them. It doesn’t need to be expensive, just well thought out to show that you support their travelling passion and is not at all jealous. Here’s our list of the latest travel gift ideas (for every budget) to help you get started with your Christmas shopping.   Below RM100
Skincare Products Wait, come back. Hear me out. This is still a travel gift list and whoever said you don’t need beauty products while travelling? Quite on the contrary in fact. There is no better time to really step up the skincare game than abroad. The change in weather, food and even bathroom water can affect the complexion leading to pimple breakout and cracked lips. Hence the need to be equipped with certain beauty products when travelling. This applies to men and women travellers alike. Just in time for festivities, the Body Shop has released a series of skin and body care gift packs and bags. One such a bag is this adorable reusable travel size pouch that can store all the travel body care necessities, erasing the need rummage through their bag for their toiletries. Perfect for that neat traveller, it’s priced at RM68.  Below RM200
Trusty Travel Planner Photo by Sugoi Days  In the era of digital technology, there is a certain charm about the good old fashion travel planner. Not only is it not wifi-dependent but it also can’t run out of juice or be hacked. A travel planner adds a personal feel to the adventure to jolt down notes, draw pictures or simply to just keep track of their itinerary or budget. The latest 2020 Starbucks Planner in particular, caught our attention as it’s lightweight, simplistic and comes with a leather clutch pouch with multiple pockets and secure clasps. Priced at RM188 for the blue and brown ones.   Below RM300
Colourful Travel Bags The most obvious gift to get a jetsetter is definitely a bag but must it be one of those dull standard coloured ones? Instead get them a bag that really pops. Not only is it eye-catching, its vibrancy will deter anyone from mistaking it as theirs. The Guardian Malaysia in partnership with international brand TokiDoki recently just launched their line of limited edition travel bag series. While a bit on the playful side, fans of Tokidoki and young travellers would love parading this set down a plane aisle. The RRP prices of the tote bag, backpack and luggage is RM280, RM440 and RM600 respectively but you can get them at discounted prices* at Guardian outlets at only RM80, RM100 and RM170 respectively.

A Seaside Holiday Photo by stephmylifetravel  Believe it or not, for less than RM500, you can buy your traveller friend a seaside getaway trip somewhere around Malaysia. Sometimes the most undiscovered gems are those at home so remind them that they need not venture far for beautiful scenes, good food and even better company. Take Pulau Lang Tengah for example – a small hidden island between touristy Perhentian Island and Redang Island. The island is so small that it only takes 10 minutes for a round island trip by speed boat. However due to its small side, there are only four resort operators, and this ensures a peaceful visit. And best of all, it has some of the best snorkelling and scuba diving waters in Malaysia. A 3D2N weekend trip to Pulau Lang Tengah cost only RM460 if booked with Sedunia Travel and covers accommodation, meals and return boat transfer. Below RM800
Camera Phones  Photo from GSMarena One important thing for a traveller is of course a reliable camera to help them capture their adventures. Nowadays camera phones are so high quality that it’s even possible to produce bill-board quality size photos. RealMe has just recently introduced the Realme 5 Pro into the local market. The phone offers not one, not two, not even three but four different lenses to suit every travel need.  These lenses include a wide-angle, portrait, selfie and macro lens, all packaged in one neat, sleek and surprisingly affordable device. The phone is water resistant, so any unexpected spills is not issue. The Realme 5 Pro prices start from RM759 depending on distributor. More than RM1,000
An Adventure Somewhere in the world Your friend is lucky to have you as a friend if you’re entering this price range for a present (can I be your friend too?) The sky’s the limit with a budget like this. So why not opt for a customisable tour with Sedunia Travel as a gift? With more travellers preferring the free and easy route rather than the usual tour groups, a customisable travel package is the way to go for a seasoned traveller. Based on their interest, experience and wants, you can pick and choose the type of accommodation, mode of transport and activities to do. Either pick a day tour or just hit the theme parks at your own pace – all of this is possible with a travel agency that specialises in customisable travel packages.  A fuss free holiday to a dream destination is really all that travel junkie could ever ask for.  And there you have. Our totally not biased list of gift ideas to get someone who just loves travelling. Yes, we know it can be tricky getting a gift for someone who is constantly looking for the next flight out of town but if you remember our gift rules and just refer to this list, you will be fine!

Practical Travel Gift Ideas for Every Budget (RM100 - RM1K)

Iceland has been the rage of late possibly due to Frozen 2 and we would be foolish to not check out what this country has to offer. In terms of food. Because we believe food plays an equally important role in promoting a country’s country and we want to know what this frozen tundra has to offer our tastebuds. But first a short introduction to the country itself. Famously known as the Land of Fire and Ice (which sounds like it should be the setting of Game of Thrones), Iceland is an island born out of volcanic eruptions over millions of years. Fast forward many years later and here we are now, gifted with one of most scenic and untouched icy lands in the world. In fact, because of its northern location, majority of its land is covered by glaciers than all of Europe. Reykjavik, its capital is the world's most northern capital. Twice every decade, the country generally experiences volcanic eruptions which spews more lava onto the landscape. Europe's largest waterfall, Gullfoss, is also located in Iceland. Everyone knows about Iceland’s dramatic natural scenery but little do people know of its equal dramatic cuisine. Taking advantage of the ingredients they have around them, Iceland food tend to be natural with less GMOs and artificial ingredients. Think free-roaming sheep, fresh cod and char. If you’re ever in Iceland, this is the list to follow for must try food and dishes. 1.	Fermented Shark Hakari aka fermented shark is the national dish of Iceland and automatically a must try for visitors and tourists. Despite being the national dish, you will be surprised to learn that the consumption of this dish relatively low even amongst the locals. It was more commonly eaten back in the day when refrigerators weren’t invented yet. However, it’s worth giving a try at least once during your trip for the sake of saying you have tried it. 2.	Hot Spring Rye Bread The concept of this dish baffles to the rest of the world but despite what its name sounds like, it doesn’t mean eating it in a hot spring. This popular Nordic bread can be found easily in groceries around the country. But what truly makes it unique is its baking method – by burying near the hot springs. The natural method of baking results in a sweetish dark bread that goes well with other Icelandic meals. 3.	Puffin Most would be familiar with puffin as the web browser or that weird looking bird. It almost never occurs to us that in Iceland, this seabird is another national dish known as Hakarl. It is one of the delicacies on the Icelandic food menus throughout the country. It tastes close to beef and has a distinct seafood taste. 4.	Fish stew Known as Plokkfiskur in Iceland, it is a traditional Icelandic dish prepared from boiled cod or haddock mashed together with the white sauce, onions, and potatoes. Icelanders love to fish and they always use fresh fish which is no exception in this dish. This famous fish stew is also served with dark rye bread and butter. 5.	Brennivin A local spirit which is similar to unsweetened schnapps. It is the country’s national alcoholic beverage and taste close to vodka. The drink is famous during the Porrablot winter festival. 6.	Skyr A marriage between yogurt and cottage cheese, Skyr is the way to go if you want to eat like a local. Made from pasteurized skim milk and a bacteria culture similar to yogurt, this thick and creamy delicacy is often served with cream and tart berry jam and tastes a bit like Greek yogurt and creme fraiche. You can eat it with sugar, but most locals love it au natural. 7.	Icelandic Hot Dogs You must be thinking – why go all the way to Iceland for hot dogs?? But almost everyone online and offline has recommended their hot dogs. Unlike the usual sausages, the types over there are made from a blend of lamb, pork and beef encased into natural casings. To top it off is of course, the toppings. A magical combination of ketchup, sweet mustard, fried onions, raw onions and remoulade sauce (mayo and sweet relish). 8.	Icelandic Meat Soup Ah, perhaps the best thing in a chilly country like Iceland – hearty hot meat soup. This flavourful stew is a concoction of lamb, root vegetables, rice and herbs and as many Icelanders would agree, the best thing to sip on when the day turns overcast. I am sure many Asian would agree as this easily resembles our signature ABC soup.  9.	Dried Fish In the local language, Harðfiskur literally means hard fish, an Icelandic delicacy that most locals love. It may sound gross to many foreigners, but it is Iceland´s favorite snack. Locals eat it with salted butter while watching a movie. It is thought to be a healthy alternative to chips or popcorn. 10.	Sheep Head Okay, out of everything we have so far, this has got to be the most outlandish dish on the list. But don’t be thrown off by the presentation. Every part of the Svio or sheep head can be eaten. Some might argue that the cheek and tongue are the best while others will say it’s the eyes. Icelandic sheep are not fed on grain or growth hormones and have a natural diet, hence giving it a more refined taste not unlike lamb or mutton. Of course, there are more…otherworldly things to eat in Iceland such as blood pudding and ram testicles. But we believe this list is a good as any to give you that head (pun intended) start. I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. Ah the famous words of Charles Dickens through the mouth of his character  Ebenezer Scrooge in the famous A Christmas Carol. In honour of the famous writer, the world’s first printed Christmas card has gone on show at the Charles Dickens Museum in London, just over a month before the Royal Mail deadline for posting Christmas cards in Britain. Compiled by Tania Wee From now until 19 April, if you’re ever in London, swing by the Charles Dicken Museum to glimpse a part of western cultural history in the making.  The card was printed in 1843, the year the Victorian author published A Christmas Carol, the well known tale of Scrooge whose miserable attitude is transformed after being visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. Designed by Henry Cole and illustrated by John Callcott Horsley, the hand-coloured card shows a family gathered around a table enjoying a glass of wine with a message: A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year To You. It was sent from a son to his parents. Of the 1,000 originally printed, 21 survived and one has been loaned to the museum by a book dealer in San Francisco.
Cole’s original proof is also on loan. It was given as a gift in 1865 and has a pencilled note to the recipient in the bottom right-hand corner. Dickens and Cole worked at the same time, unknown to each other, shaping what would become popular traditions. “This was a really important year for the development of the modern Christmas. The Christmas card is such a big part of our Christmases today. And A Christmas Carol is such a significant story that we see every year at Christmas time,” said museum curator Louisa Price. Cole was instrumental in setting up the Penny Post in 1840 and imagining the first Christmas card which sold for a shilling (12 pence/ 65 cents in Ringgit). Today billions of Christmas cards make their way around the world. Dickens realised industrialisation meant there was a market for books as Christmas presents. Simon Eliot, co-curator at the museum and specialist in 19th century books, said: “He was able to focus attention on Christmas and give it a sort of identity and verve which it had lacked.” The exhibition - Beautiful Books: Dickens And The Business of Christmas - runs at the novelist’s former London home, now a museum, until April 19. – Reuters Source: The Star Online . A new towering structure has just been added to the Tokyo’s already stunning city skyline and that is the Shibuya Scramble Square. This massive tower located at the heart of Shibuya itself (as its name indicates), has been the talk of the town ever since the start of its construction and at 230 meters, claims the title of tallest structure in the district. Naturally, this means it also boasts its own observation deck known as Shibuya Sky and an unobstructed view of Tokyo. Towering buildings with an observation deck are plentiful across many of Japan’s major cities like Tokyo, Osaka and Hokkaido and are major tourist attraction. Whether you’re a sunset chaser, a photographer or just someone looking for something to do in Japan, these towers are definitely a must-add to your itinerary. Here is our list of the most prominent towers across Japan with stunning views of the cities. 1. 230 meters - Shibuya Scramble Square, Tokyo Since we’ve already opened with this announcement, let’s talk more about Shibuya Sky. With an observation deck spanning 2,500sqm, Shibuya Sky features a vantage point called Sky Stage that offers one of the best aerial views of the famous Shibuya Scramble down below and the rest of Tokyo. On a clear day, you will be able to spot Mount Fuji if you look hard enough. There are ample spaces to relax amongst grassy turfs and get this – hammocks (!) to give you sensation of drifting into the skies. Tickets to Shibuya Sky can be purchased online or at the counter but we hear they sell out fast. 2. 170 meters - Umeda Sky Building, Osaka The Umeda Sky Building is Osaka’s most recognizable landmark. Located in the business district of Umeda, this building blends business, nature and architecture skills into two towering wonders that is connected by the donut shaped bridge at the top. That bridge makes up the Kuchu Teien Observatory that offers a beautiful 360-degree view of Osaka. At 170 meters off the ground, you would be able catch the stunning sunset in the evenings and watch the night lights come alive. If you’re fortunate, you can not only see all of Osaka but as far away as Awaji Island. The basement of the building houses the Takimi-Koji gourmet street with old fashioned images of Osaka from the 1920s. 3. 131 meters - Kyoto Tower In a city famously known for its history, ancient temples and shrines and natural wonders, the Kyoto Tower is a rare modern iconic landmark that first opened in 1964. For those arriving from other parts of Japan via train, it will mostly be the first thing you see as you exit Kyoto Station. Its viewing platform is indoors and despite only standing at 100 meters above the ground, it still provides a complete view of Kyoto in all directions. It is one of the best places to spot the iconic mountain bonfire symbols charred into the city’s mountainsides as part of the ancient ritual Gozan no Okuribi.
  4. 234 meters – Fukuoka Tower, Fukuoka Japan’s tallest seaside tower sits in Fukuoka at 234 meters and its highest observation deck is 123 meters above the ground. The Fukuoka Tower was built alongside the Seaside Momochi waterfront district in 1989 to celebrate the city’s 100th anniversary. What sets it apart from other towers is the over 8,000 one way mirrors that adorned the outer side, reflecting the views of the sea and sun. Apart from its three observation decks, a restaurant and a souvenir shop on the ground floor, there is nothing else occupying the inner structure of the tower. As a result, visitors are in for a scenic treat as they ride the see-through lift to the top as they look out on the seaside view. At night, the tower will light up with a changing illumination theme each season. 5. 147.2 meters - Sapporo TV Tower, Hokkaido What truly sets this tower apart of its counterparts in other parts of Japan is the view it offers in winter – a city completely blanked in pristine white snow. At 147.2 meters, it is not the tallest building in the city but it is the only one that offers a bird’s eye view of Odori Park, Sapporo’s own Central Park. Odori Park cuts straight across the city with its pockets of greenery and the main site for many of Sapporo’s seasonal events. Regardless of the events held, the Sapporo TV Tower makes for an amazing backdrop and the city views in winter from the 90 meters observation deck, simply breath-taking. Without doubt, Japan is a stunning country with postcard perfect views, up-close and afar all year round. But to truly witness the widespread reach of Japan’s sprawling metropolitans blended with the touches of nature, take a ride up to any one of these towers and simply bask in the magnitude of it all.

Announced in partnership with leading travel technology company Kiwi.com, destinations such as London, Dubai, Madrid and Auckland are now available to the more than 50 million travellers. Airasia.com CEO Tony Fernandes said, “Today is an unbelievable day. When we started AirAsia as a low-cost airline back in 2001, I never thought one day we would be selling our competitors. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s never say never. Never say never and believe the unbelievable. Today, with the help of Kiwi.com, we are reinventing ourselves as more than just an airline, bringing to life our vision for airasia.com to be the region’s one-stop travel shop.” airasia.com Head of Airline Distribution Rajiv Kumar said, “In addition to the strategic partnership with Kiwi.com, which is focused on content and technology sharing, we are also exploring opportunities to partner directly with airlines and companies who complement our existing network and travel services beyond Asia Pacific.” Powered by Kiwi.com, AirAsia’s website users will be able to book travel on more than 100 airlines to destinations currently not served by AirAsia, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and the Americas. To celebrate the announcement and its partnership with Davis Cup by Rakuten, which takes place on 18-24 November 2019 in Madrid, Spain, AirAsia has kickstarted a global marketing campaign featuring its very own Spanish Allstar, airasia.com Head of Product Pablo Sanz Salcedo. The campaign comes off the back of the company’s reorganisation, which separates AirAsia’s airline operations from its travel and lifestyle arm, airasia.com. Since the reorganisation was announced in August this year, more than 700 Allstar staff have been recruited, and in addition to being based across Asia Pacific, a new airasia.com campus will open in central Kuala Lumpur early next year.

Imagine this. You lay your head down to rest, close your eyes to lulls of Amsterdam’s waters rocking gently beneath you. When you wake up the next morning, your river cruise has just docked in Rotterdam where a day of windmills and tulips await you. Traveling by waterways has been a constant part of travelling ever since the beginning of time but till this day, it is definitely still one of the most exciting and magical experiences. Especially when you wake up to a view like this! Think of these river cruises as your floating hotel of luxury, taking you places while you rest up for the next day to experience key attractions and activities, each unique to their respective river cruise.  Here are some reasons to hop on-board a river cruise next year. Reason #1: Seasonal Cruises  Tulip fields by redcharlie on Unsplash There is a cruise for almost every season with a theme to suit your fancy. If it’s December, there are Christmas market river cruises available - basically a cruise that sail you into a destination with a Christmas market. For Holland, in the month of March to May, it will be the tulip-themed cruise that will carry you to Holland’s patchwork of flower fields, as vast as the eye can see. The long spring season, moist soils and cool nights makes for the perfect conditions for tulips to grow and blossom. While there are many tulip farms in the region, the most breathtaking one is Keukenhof – known also as the “Garden of Europe” for its generous 70 acres of lush parklands and lakes. It is also where you can find the world’s biggest flower garden of more than seven million tulips. Alternatively, for those wanting a more intimate experience, there is also Enkhuizen, a harbour town with a history of tulips, fields and farms. Just don’t enter the fields without permission even if it’s just for photos as they are still the farmer’s livelihood. If you have a green thumb or a photographer, then this is the cruise for you. Reason #2: Enjoy Off-the-Beaten-Road Activities Bicycles along the canals of Amsterdam by  Jace & Afsoon  on  Unsplash Gone are the days when only retirees and oldies enjoy river cruises for its slower pace, leisurely itinerary. Today, travellers of different age groups can enjoy many options of activities to suit their liking on their river cruise. Prefer exploring on foot and getting a workout in? Then why not go the extra mile (pun intended) by joining a running, cycling or canoeing tour as part your daily excursion. A guided cycling tour around Amsterdam will get your heart pumping and your knowledge flowing as you experience the city on two wheels. Nature lovers can appreciate a guided hike through the hills and forest of Hike Rheinsteig trails in Eltville , Germany as they inhale the crisp fresh air. If you’re a foodie, then join up with a cooking class right at the doorstep of your cruise. There is something for everyone and anyone.  Reason #3: Sail along River Seine’s History & Wonders In Europe there are several rivers with their own unique attractions and features. What better way to explore these rivers’ treasures than by a Europe River cruise . One of such a significant river is River Seine - the vein of France with its ties to artistic masters, the footsteps of heroes and the romance of La Vie En Rose. Close your eyes in Paris and wake up in Conflans to follow in the footstep of Vincent Van Gogh who famously cut off his ear. Okay, maybe let’s not follow him too closely but rather see his works come alive. A guided tour of Auvers-sur-Oise will illustrate the landscapes and village scenes captured in his famous paintings. Continue along the river to the Rouen to learn more of the martyr Saint Joan of Arc while the beaches of Normandy are worth a day’s excursion to revisit the World War ll landing site. See the banks of these legendary waterways like no other.  Reason #4: Taste the Food and Drinks of the Region  Rudesheim by Avalon  Of course it goes without question that trying the local cuisine is a must when travelling.  What better way to experience this than onboard a river cruise with meals carefully crafted by the chefs? As these river cruises in Europe sail through a particular region, the cuisine served onboard often reflects the speciality of the area from the freshest produce to the complimentary wine. Even the activities are planned to feature the best of what the area has to offer.  Say you’re cruising through the magnificent Rhine Gorge. It would be waste to miss out on a wine tasting opportunity in Rudesheim am Rhein. Not only is Rudesheim a UNESCO World Heritage Site but it is also one of Germany’s most prolific and scenic wine regions with wine contest held annually in summer. A river cruise will bring you right to the heart of regional food cuisine at its best.  Reason #5: Experience Asia’s Cultural Waterways Halong Bay by  Ammie Ngo  on  Unsplash It is often the common perception that luxurious river cruises are often only found in Europe. But that isn’t true. Cruising on to the other side of the world is the Asian’s own revered bodies of water – the Ganges and Mekong Rivers . Both rivers play crucial roles in the life and heart of their respective countries as both flows through cities, borders and many attractions. The Mekong offers a blend of rich history that flows through some of the most beautiful views of Mother Nature in Asia such as Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Meanwhile the holy waters of Ganges is the world’s third largest river that crosses through India and into Bangladesh. With influences from both countries and cultures, the food cuisine along the riverbanks promises to be exotic and spicy.

Mind you, it is just a pop-up hotel but who knows, if the fans are supportive of this, Nutella might officially start their own hotel line ( coughinAsiacough )
Hotella Nutella will open its doors in Napa Valley, California (lucky people) from 10 - 12 Jan 2020. Dubbed as the ultimate breakfast destination, this hotel stay will be an exclusive experience for three lucky Nutella superfans and their plus ones. For a chance to stay at this pop-up hotel, fans must first submit a video showing why Nutella makes your morning ‘oh-so-special’ to show why you deserve the trip in Napa Valley.  To get a chance to stay at this once-in-a-lifetime hotel you must submit a video showing exactly why Nutella makes your morning oh so special as proof that you deserve to make the trip to Napa Valley. The entries will be judged on their “creativity, passion for Nutella and connection to breakfast.“ A Nutella breakfast dinner, a soul food brunch and pancake art are on the agenda, and the pop-up experience will feature "larger-than-life” jars of Nutella, breakfast decor and Nutella-inspired hotel items.  Unfortunately, the contest, which runs from 13 Nov to 8 Dec, 2019 is only opened to US citizens but if more Malaysians were to put their keyboard warrior skills to use, we’re sure Nutella would consider bringing Hotella Nutella into Asia. This is the perfect opportunity for people truly obsessed with the chocolate-hazelnut spread to show some Nutella love — even if you can’t legally name your baby after it .  Fans can learn more about the contest by visiting the Hotella Nutella website or by following #HotellaNutella on Nutella’s Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram accounts. source: Travel and Leisure , PR Newswire

Written by Ilona Chin ETIAS stands for European Travel Information and Authorization System.  ETIAS was created to improve the screening of travellers to the region. The system was designed by the EU to strengthen border control and to protect both Europeans living in the Schengen Zone and visitors travelling to it. The legal procedures to pass the ETIAS started in 2016, and the system will officially take into effect starting in 2021.  What is ETIAS visa? The ETIAS visa waiver will be a mandatory legal requirement for Malaysians when entering the Schengen Zone from 2021 onwards. The ETIAS visa waiver will allow Malaysians to travel freely, between countries, around the Schengen Zone. Each citizen from the visa-free countries can stay in the Schengen Area (all EU states except Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland, Romania and The United Kingdom) for a period up to 90 days in any 180 days.  How do I apply for the ETIAS? The application process is simple as it can be done online at least 72 hours before departure. It only takes up to 15 minutes and cost €7, which is about RM33. Applicants under the age of 18 do not have to pay the processing fee, If your application is approved, you will receive an authorisation directly by email. Among the documentation requirements for this process includes a valid passport, a valid credit card, applicants contact information including the address of permanent residence, phone number and email address. What countries is within the Schengen Zone? The 26 Schengen countries which require ETIAS online authorisation are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. What is the ETIAS visa validity? The visa waiver is valid for three years, or until the ETIAS holder’s passport expires.
